Our mission
Understand your health.
Decide together.
Helping women understand their health without having to become their own doctors.
A new generation of healthcare.
We have entered a new generation of healthcare. Women have more ways to access medical information, see their test results, and learn about medications and treatment options. These can give women greater opportunities to understand their health and take an active role in their care.
At the same time, the way we receive care has changed.
The family doctor who once knew your history, your family, your medications, and the changes in your health over many years may no longer be the person sitting across from you.
The clinician you see today may not know that your blood pressure has been rising. They may not know that you had diabetes during pregnancy, that heart disease runs through your family, that another clinician recently changed a medication, or that something in your body has quietly been changing for months.
Those details matter. And for women, some of the most important details can be especially easy to overlook.
Pregnancy history. Menopause. Changes in blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, symptoms, medications, and family history. They may have happened years apart, but they can still belong to the same larger health story.
What each person brings.
I live on both sides of this relationship, as a clinician and as a patient, and I believe this new reality requires a different kind of partnership.
Women should not be expected to diagnose themselves, choose their own treatments, or become their own doctors.
They should understand their health well enough to know their history, know their numbers, recognize when something has changed, and walk into a medical appointment prepared to ask questions and tell the whole story.
A woman brings something no test can replace: the history of living in her own body.
The clinician brings the medical knowledge, experience, examination, and judgment needed to understand that history, determine what deserves a closer look, make a diagnosis when appropriate, explain the options, and guide what happens next.
We need both.
Why HEART RESERVE exists.
HEART RESERVE was created for the woman who wants to understand her health without having to become her own doctor.
To help her see how the pieces of her history fit together. To recognize what has changed. To know what information belongs in the room and which questions are worth asking.
Because better healthcare begins when an informed woman and a trusted clinician sit at the same table with the right information between them.
The woman brings the history only she has lived. The clinician brings the expertise to help interpret it.
Together, they decide what comes next.
