Educational use

HEART RESERVE is an educational website. It does not provide a patient portal, medical care, diagnosis, or treatment, and it does not ask you to submit symptoms, test results, or other personal health information.

Interactive tools

Answers entered into Start With Your Heart Story, the Pregnancy & Heart History Check, Build Your Movie, the HEART RESERVE Midlife Check, Follow-up notes, the 7-Day HEART RESERVE Start, the online Baseline, NICU and twin-pregnancy worksheets, and “At 80, I Want” builder remain in your current browser tab. They are not submitted, uploaded, saved to an account, sent to Lisa, or intentionally stored by this website. Closing or refreshing the page may clear them. If you copy, print, save, or share a summary, that copy is outside this website and is your responsibility.

Heart Story also lets you save an editable draft file on your device and open it again in the tool. Saving and opening happen in your browser; the file and its answers are not uploaded to HEART RESERVE. Drafts contain your health notes, so keep them somewhere private. Changes are not saved automatically, and “Start again” does not delete files you have already downloaded.

Speaking inquiries

The Book Lisa form saves the name, email address and event details you choose to submit, together with the submission date and your permission to be contacted. These details are held in a private inbox accessible to Lisa’s signed-in owner account so she can review and respond to your inquiry. They are not published, added to the newsletter or included in audience analytics.

Please leave out symptoms, medical records and other personal health information. To ask for an inquiry to be removed, email lisazahakos@gmail.com from the address you used on the form.

Email links

Professional-inquiry links lead to Lisa’s contact details. You can copy her email address or open Gmail or your email app. The Share Your Story builder prepares a message in your own email app. Text entered into the story builder remains in your browser tab unless you choose to prepare an email. Your mail app may retain that prepared message as a draft even if you do not press Send. HEART RESERVE does not upload or store that draft. Your email provider handles any message you choose to send. Email is not a secure channel for medical information, so do not send symptoms, records, exact test results, or other private medical details.

Community stories

A submitted story is reviewed privately. Sending it does not give HEART RESERVE permission to publish it. If Lisa believes a story may help the community, she will contact the writer separately about edits, attribution, and written publication approval.

Basic technical information

Like most websites, the services that host and deliver this site may process basic connection information needed for security and reliable operation, such as an IP address, browser type, device type, and request time. Their handling of that information is governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

Audience measurement

HEART RESERVE counts visits so Lisa can understand whether readers are finding the site and which public pages are useful. Your browser saves a random identifier on your device and replaces it after about one year. Before recording a visit, the site turns that identifier into a coded value through a one-way process. The saved code stands in for the browser, not your name. The page-view record contains that code, the public page path, the time of the visit, a broad arrival category such as direct, search, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, other social, email, or referral, and a broad device class such as phone, tablet, or computer.

The site may separately count that a visitor started a Heart Story by entering an answer or choosing an option, completed a HEART RESERVE tool, created a Heart Story summary, clicked its print/PDF or text-download button, clicked a public worksheet download, opened the newsletter signup form, or opened our Instagram or TikTok profile, but never the answers, selections, summary content, result, or page-view browser code. A download or print click does not confirm a saved file. Opening a social profile does not tell us whether you follow the account. To avoid counting the same action more than once in a day, the site uses a separate code that changes each day and records the date in UTC. The action record also includes a fixed arrival-source label, such as Instagram or LinkedIn, without the referring address or campaign text. That record does not include the browser identifier or page address used in visit records, so it is not directly linked to your browsing history. The audience database does not save your name, connect your email address to browsing activity, store an IP address, retain a full referring URL, save search terms, form entries, or anything you type into a HEART RESERVE check or builder. Query strings and page fragments are not recorded.

Page-view and completion records older than 13 months are removed during the next eligible page view. A browser summary record is removed after that browser has not been seen for 13 months. Browsers that send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control are not counted. You can also turn off this audience measurement in this browser below.

Optional Google Analytics

If you choose “Allow analytics,” Google Analytics helps us measure public-page visits, including podcast pages, and clicks to open Heart Story, worksheets, the newsletter, Spotify, LinkedIn, and media email links. These clicks do not confirm a completed Heart Story, download, subscription, listen, follow, or sent email. This is separate from the basic audience report above.

Google Analytics is disabled on our interactive health tools, private statistics page and unrecognized pages. Our tracking code sends only approved public page addresses and fixed action names. It does not send your answers, results, summaries, name, email address, search terms, URL query strings or fragments. Advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled in our tag.

Google processes technical information about your browser and device, including your IP address during collection, and uses cookies to recognize repeat visits. Our tag sets a six-month cookie lifetime. Read Google’s privacy policy for its practices. This optional measurement stays off until you allow it and also respects Do Not Track, Global Privacy Control and the audience-measurement opt-out above.

You can change your choice below. Withdrawing permission stops future collection from this browser and removes this site’s Google Analytics cookies; it does not delete information already received by Google.

The HEART RESERVE Letter

Choosing to join opens a separate signup page hosted by MailerLite. The form loads only when you follow that link. You choose whether to receive the free monthly Letter and occasional book news, then confirm your email address. MailerLite stores your email, consent and subscription status, and processes technical information needed to run the form and deliver messages. It may record delivery and link activity. Our welcome email has open tracking turned off. Read MailerLite’s privacy policy for its practices.

Your private HEART RESERVE tool answers are never sent to MailerLite. We do not use newsletter signups for medical profiling, advertising, or sale. Do not enter health information in the signup form. Use the unsubscribe link in any Letter to stop emails. To request deletion, email the privacy address below from the address you used to join. A minimal suppression record may be kept to honor your choice not to receive emails.

Earlier waiting-list signups remain in the website’s database with their signup time, source and consent record. They have not been automatically enrolled in MailerLite. You can join through the new signup form or ask us to remove an earlier waiting-list record.
